Hyundai and ARK Performance will be debuting the ARK Legato Concept at next month’s SEMA show in Las Vegas. The Legato Concept, teased of now through a series of sketches, takes a Hyundai Genesis Coupe and reworks the production car a fair bit.
Exterior changes include new front and rear bumpers, side skirts, deck lid and wide-body cues, and the car is dressed up in a racing silver shade to highlight all the work.
Mechanical changes aplenty, as you’d expect, with the production vehicle’s 3.8 litre Lambda GDi V6 lump being restroked to 4.0 litres, with 400 hp and 576 Nm on call to the stock engine’s 350 hp and 400 Nm. In the mix are a new crankshaft, pistons and connecting rods, as well as an ARK oil cooler. The stock intake and headers have been replaced too, and a new dual-mass flywheel and carbon clutch kit find their way on.
Other bits include an ARK coilover suspension system and carbon brake pads, and the Legato sits on lightweight Rays Engineering G25 alloys and Nitto NT05 tyres. Inside, the car gets new racing seats, a new steering wheel and a digital gauge cluster, and there’s even a Rockford Fosgate premium sound system, in case one wants to listen to something other than the car.
