Just a few days shy of its official debut on October 25, leaked photos of the BMW 2-Series Coupe have made their way onto the internet. The car here is the M235i Coupe in red, which looks similiar to the car teased in the video earlier this week. The event looks like a dealer preview.
The M235i will use a version of BMW’s N55 single turbo 3.0 litre inline-6 doing 322 horsepower and 450Nm of torque. The car will be the 2-Series Coupe range topper for the moment, while we wait to see if the 1 M Coupe gets a successor in the form of an M2 Coupe?

Other than the obvious addition of a proper boot, the car is further differentiated from the 1-Series hatchback with a completely new front end which gets rid of the 1-er’s droopy face.
We also notice that the M235i badging on the rear uses a completely different font compared to what BMW normally uses – this different font was also applied to the M135i, M550d, and the other M Performance cars.
